- A few spoons
- Two jars (100 ml)
Good to know!
- To create colour paints, just use the white base above and experiment with any of our colourants (mineral colourants, micas, liquid colourants). Do keep in mind that powdered colourants may thicken your paint. To adjust the texture, just add a few extra drops of water. Conversely, if you use only liquid colourants and your paint becomes too runny, add cornstarch sparingly to thicken it.
- Alternatively, you can use whatever colourants you have on hand to make colour paints! You can use food colouring or even vegetable powders (cocoa, beet powder, spirulina, carrot powder…). Likewise, you may need to adjust the texture of your DIY face paint as above. Keep in mind that some brands of food colouring may stain or damage your skin. Be sure to read up on your chosen colourant and do a spot test to make sure your skin is not sensitive to the final product. COCOÉCO’s liquid colourants will generally not stain your skin.
- The aloe gel helps thicken your homemade paint and ensures it has the right consistency.
- This face and body paint is astonishingly gentle on your skin! We specifically chose ingredients suitable for sensitive skin.
- Our basic recipe here presents the ingredients and steps to follow to yield two jars of paint, one black and one white. To create colour paints, just add the colourants of your choosing to the white paint. Repeat the process for as many hues as you would like to make.
