Good to know!

  • Bentonite clay is a very strong absorber of water and cannot be replaced with an equal part of another clay in this recipe. Known for its ability to absorb impurities, bentonite clay is ideal for use in this type of deep-cleansing product.
  • Willow bark extract works as an active in this recipe. It smoothes and purifies skin by getting rid of dead cells. Along with the grapefruit seed extract, it also functions as a preservative by boosting the product’s shelf life.

Steps to follow

  1. Prepare and sterilize your equipment and workspace.
  2. In a small stainless steel bowl, measure the demineralized water and set on a pot to make a double boiler. Heat until the water reaches a temperature of 80°C.
  3. Turn off the burner but leave the bowl on the double boiler for heat. Add the African black soap to the hot water, first crumbling it a little, and let melt for about 15 minutes, stirring gently with the spatula from time to time until all the soap has melted.how to make facial cleanser
  4. In a ramekin, weigh and premix the clay and colloidal oatmeal.
  5. Gradually add the clay/oatmeal mixture to the soapy water and incorporate with the spatula. Once totally incorporated, use the mini mixer (with frothing attachment) to break up clumps and homogenize the mixture (some clumps may remain, which is normal). Remove the bowl from the double boiler.homemade face wash with clay
  6. In a ramekin, weigh and mix the rest of the ingredients (the preservatives, essential oils, and vegetable oil). Pour this mixture into the batter and incorporate with the spatula, then use the mini mixer to mix well and render the batter smooth and homogeneous.
  7. Pour the mixture into a Ziploc-style bag or into the filling syringe.homemade face wash with clay
  8. Unscrew the cap from the tube.
  9. Cut off a corner of the bag (the hole must be smaller than the tube’s opening!) then press the air out of the tube. Place the hole of the bag on the opening of the tube and squeeze the bag while releasing pressure on the tube. Repeat until the tube is full.
  10. Alternatively, fill the tube with the filling syringe while applying pressure to the tube, as explained for the Ziploc method.recipe for natural face cleanser

      Hello Tanxil,
Some essential oils are good for this kind of problem: tea tree, atlas cedar, rosewood and bay laurel. You can add one drop of one of these essential oils directly in your shampoo, just before applying it.
Nettle leaves are also a good product. You can grind them to powder and add it to your shampoo recipes or to your hair care.
Rose geranium hydrosol can also be sprayed on the scalp.
If the problem still persists, please contact a medical professional.
      Have a nice day,

dry scalp can cause dry hair which can lead to breakage and thnninig. If you feel you have dry scalp, there are things you can do. Massaging your scalp with jojoba oil is wonderful for stimulating hair growth and moisturizing your scalp. Please see my video on this for more info. Also, using a shampoo for dry hair can help as can avoiding shampooing too often. I do recommend a natural boar bristle brush as they help to distribute your scalp oils.
