How to make your own lash and brow gel

Before you begin

In lieu of the plant-based lanolin substitute, you can use an equal quantity of lanolin.

  • This homemade eyelash gel can also be used as a clear mascara or to sculpt eyebrows.

Steps to follow for the plant-based lanolin substitute

  1. Prepare and disinfect your equipment and workspace.
  2. Weigh the carnauba wax and the castor oil in a ramekin. Heat in the double boiler.
  3. Once melted, remove from heat and add the vitamin E.
  4. Mix with the mini-mixer until cool.
  5. Let set at room temperature before use. This may take a few minutes. Its texture should be less viscous than regular lanolin. homemade eyebrow gel recipe

Steps to follow for the eyelash and eyebrow gel

  1. Prepare and disinfect your equipment and workspace.
  2. Weigh all the phase A ingredients, except for the vitamin E, in a ramekin.
  3. Weigh all the phase B ingredients in a second ramekin.
  4. Place both ramekins in a double boiler. Heat.
  5. When the phase B ingredients begin to melt, mix well with the mini-mixer.
  6. When the phase A ingredients have completely melted, remove the ramekin from the double boiler and mix with a spoon.
  7. Pour phase A over phase B, which should still be warming in the double boiler.how to make a gel for eyelashes and eyebrows
  8. Mix well with the mini-mixer until homogeneous. This should take about five minutes. Remove from double boiler.
  9. Add the vitamin E and mix with the mini-mixer.DIY eyebrow and eyelash gel
  10. Using a pipette, transfer the mixture into the mascara tube.homemade care for eyelash
  11. Leave tube open to cool. Place the top on the mascara tube only once the gel has completely cooled. Your homemade brow and lash gel is now ready for use!

Use and conservation

Formulated for use on eyelashes as well as eyebrows, this gel can be worn night or day. For daytime use, apply before (or instead of) your mascara. Apply to clean lashes and brows.

Made in optimal sanitary conditions, the lanolin substitute and DIY gel will both keep for at least 3 months at room temperature

      Hello Marina,
      Unfortunately you can’t replace the gum arabic by another gum, because this gum has a tightening effect, which coats the lashes.

    With your scale that measures to 0.1g, how do you suggest to measure out ingredients like the Geogard at 0.16 g and olive squalane at 1.44 g?

        Hi again, sorry to be a pain…but you don’t currently sell a scale that is accurate to .01 g. I just bought the Triton T2 to make this recipe specifically, based on the tools list :(

          You just need to round up the numbers, here it is :
          Phase A
          0.7g carnauba wax
          0.9g plant-based lanolin substitute (or lanolin)
          1.4g olive squalane
          9g castor oil
          1.2g argan oil
          0.2g vitamin E
          Phase B
          4.3g aloe juice
          0.2g GeoGard Ultra
          0.2g gum arabic
